Earthship Learning Opportunity: Northern New Mexico
April through June 2012
Earthship Biotecture is looking for people interested in working and learning alongside the Earthship Crew on a three month build from the ground up on a high-end global model Earthship. This build will take place in Northern New Mexico near the Earthship headquarters.
The site is about 45 minutes away from the closest major town. Due to security reasons the site will not be disclosed until participants arrive and are taken to the site.
Participants will camp on site. Porta toilets will be available.
This build will take place throughout April, May and June. Minimum one month commitment.
Those who complete one month will receive a certificate to attend an Earthship Seminar.
Those who complete three months will receive one unit of Field Studies credit applicable to a degree in Earthship Biotecture through the Earthship Academy.

Earthship Biotecture welcomes the ISEA 2012

Designed by Michael Reynolds, this Earthship provides luxury and functionality while living in harmony with its environment. Visit a home that not only feeds an entire family, but houses a tilapia pond, chicken and parakeets.
Guided tours of the Phoenix Earthship will start every hour from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Free for conference attendees and $5 per person for the general public. 20 people per tour.

New Earthship Education Facility: Displays Underway
Written by Kirsten JacobsenThe New Earthship Education Facility funded with generous capital outlay from the State of New Mexico, with the help of Representative Bobby Gonazales and Governor Bill Richardson, is nearing completion. Doors are being hung on the bathrooms, the black water cell is being dug outside and shelving for merchandise is being installed.

Earthship Visit: Vista Grande High School
Written by Kirsten JacobsenWe got a chance to give the new Earthship Education Facility a little trial run this morning as part of a 3 hour scheduled tour for Vista Grande High School, a local Taos charter school.
I set up a temporary screen (read white sheet) in what will be the screening room of the new Earthship Education Facility and showed some slides. Sean and Hillary took the 60 kids through the vintange Visitor Center, around the EVE project, through the Studio rental, a one bedroom Global Earthship, the Corner Cottage Earthship, the Euro Earthship and the Phoenix.
New Global Earthship Underway at Greater World

Work resumed in earnest today on the EVE Project following Michael Reynolds' return from the Earthship Project in Todos Santos, Mexico.
Michael lined up Earthship foreman Phil Basehart on the next steps for the second tower. This structure will be three stories tall.
